Production guide

Late revisions without version confusion

The final edit is not small if it breaks the approval chain.

Illustrative controlled document production layers

Use one change stream

Ask the coordinator to consolidate instructions. If two reviewers disagree, pause the affected change and request a decision instead of combining incompatible edits.

Classify impacts

Distinguish wording, formatting, tags and package changes. A heading edit can affect anchors; an edited text block can affect continuations; an asset rename can break references.

Retest and reprove

Run targeted comparison around the changed section plus package-level checks. Create a delta proof when useful, but regenerate the complete exact-version proof for final review.

Reapprove after changes

Freeze the approved version. A subsequent edit creates a new delivery candidate unless the client has a documented, appropriately scoped correction process. Conversion approval never implies LIVE permission.

Scope and primary reference

Educational production guidance only. Client disclosure approval, legal/accounting judgement, qualified tagging review and filing authority remain separate. Confirm the appropriate qualified review and current requirements for each live assignment.

Reference: Current official SEC guidance. Verify the current requirements for the agreed job.
